RSA Insurance Group plc (the "Company") announces that Hugh Mitchell will retire as a Non-Executive Director with effect from the Company's 2018 AGM on 11 May 2018 after over 6 years on the Board.

Kath Cates will succeed Hugh as chair of the Remuneration Committee with effect from 1 December 2017, with Hugh remaining as a committee member until his retirement from the Board.

Martin Strobel will succeed Kath Cates as chair of the Board Risk Committee with effect from 1 December 2017.

Martin Scicluna, RSA Chairman, said:
