Directorate change

West Bromwich Building Society has today announced that Ashraf Piranie, the Society's Group Finance and Operations Director will leave the Society following a planned restructure of the Society's executive leadership. This restructure will result in Mr Piranie's current role ceasing to exist in its current form and Mr Piranie has informed the Board that he does not wish to consider alternative roles in the new structure. The Society will therefore seek to appoint a Chief Financial Officer, and Mr Piranie has agreed to remain in post until that process reaches its conclusion and then for a transition period of up to the 2022/23 financial year end.

Commenting, John Maltby, the Society's Chairman said "We totally understand Ashraf's decision and we are grateful not only for his valued contribution over the last 5 years but for his agreement to help support us through the transition period. We all wish Ashraf well for the next chapter of his career."
