RSA Insurance Group plc appoints Non-Executive Director
RSA Insurance Group plc (RSA) today announces the appointment of Jos Streppel to its Board as a Non-Executive Director as of 3 October 2011.
Jos is Chairman of KPN, the former incumbent telecom carrier of The Netherlands, Deputy Chairman of Van Lanschot, a Dutch private banking and asset management firm and Chairman of the Monitoring Committee of the Dutch Corporate Governance Code. He was previously Chief Financial Officer of Aegon until 2009 and has extensive financial services expertise. He graduated from the University of Tilburg with a degree in Macro and International Economics.
Commenting on the appointment, RSA Chairman John Napier said: "I am delighted to welcome Jos to the Board. He has a comprehensive understanding of the insurance market globally and a good knowledge of international and emerging markets".
