Savile Group plc, the AIM listed human resources consulting group, has appointed Lord Freeman and Alex Wilson as Non-Executive Directors. Peter Evans and Ken Brotherston have resigned as Non-Executive Directors in order to pursue other business interests.

Lord Freeman has held prominent leadership roles in both the public and private sectors. A former Conservative Cabinet minister, he is Chairman of Thales Holdings UK plc and Cambridge Enterprise Ltd, and a Director of Global Energy Development plc, Thales S.A, France and Chemring Group plc. He is also Chairman of the UK Advisory Panel of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Having formerly been the Chairman of IDDAS, the board level coaching and mentoring business unit of Savile Group, since July 2008 he has been Chairman of Savile's Advisory Panel.

Alex Wilson has served as Group Human Resources Director at BT since July 2002. He is also Chairman of the BT Benevolent Fund and is a member of the Advisory Board of the HR Masters Programme at Bocconi University School (Italy). Prior to his current position, he was Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Group Communications, at ICI (2000-2002).

Lord Freeman, 67, a qualified Chartered Accountant, was a Director at Lehman Brothers from 1972 to 1983. He entered Parliament as the Conservative MP for Kettering in 1983 and became a life peer in 1997. He was Minister of State for both Public Transport and Defence Procurement, and served in John Major's Cabinet as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Public Service Minister. 

Alex Wilson56, graduated from the University of Strathclyde and worked for 10 years for the Ford Motor Company, 12 years for Grand Metropolitan working in the Brewery, Retail and International Drinks Divisions, and then for Diageo where he was HR Director for Guinness and Managing Director of its Continental European Business. Prior to his current position, he was Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Group Communications, at ICI (2000-2002).
