BOARD APPOINTMENT AT GREENCORE GROUP PLC ("GREENCORE")
The Board of Greencore announced today that it has co-opted Ms. Diane Walker (36) as an executive director of the company with immediate effect and appointed her as chief executive, Convenience Foods UK.
Diane Walker joined Greencore in June 2004 as managing director of Greencore's Chilled Sauce and Soups Category. Subsequently, in October 2006, she was appointed managing director of Food To Go, the largest convenience food category within the Group.
Diane has held a number of senior positions within the chilled food industry. Prior to joining Greencore she was divisional managing director of Hibernian Foods plc and convenience food sales and marketing director of Hazlewood Foods plc prior to it being acquired by Greencore. She holds a BSc. (Hons.) in Food Marketing Management.
As Chief Executive Convenience Foods UK, she will have responsibility for the Group's convenience foods portfolio in the UK working closely with the executive team but in particular Tony Hynes, Chief Operating Officer, who will continue to drive process and functional excellence across the Group.
There are no disclosures to be made in respect of Ms. Walker pursuant to Section 6.6.7 (1)-(6) of the Listing Rules.
