RSA Insurance Group plc ("RSA" or the "Company") announces that Alastair Barbour has informed the Company of his intention to step down from the Board on or around 9 October 2020, being the ninth anniversary of his appointment as a Non-Executive Director.

Martin Scicluna, RSA Chairman, said:

"Alastair has made an immense contribution to the Company both in his capacity as a Non-Executive Director and also as Chair of the Group Audit Committee. His wisdom, professionalism and expertise have been invaluable to the Board, finance and senior management teams. On behalf of the whole Board I would like to thank Alastair for the outstanding contribution he has made; we wish him every success for the future."

As announced on 21 November 2019, Clare Bousfield will join the Board on 1 April 2020. Subject to regulatory approval, Clare will assume the role of Chair of the Group Audit Committee as successor to Alastair on 9 October 2020.

This announcement is made in accordance with LR 9.6.11(2), (3) and (4).
