Weir appoints Dame Nicola Brewer and Tracey Kerr to the Board
The Weir Group PLC ("Weir or Weir Group") announces that Dame Nicola Brewer and Tracey Kerr joined the Board as independent Non-Executive Directors with effect from 21 July 2022.
Nicola brings deep experience of international relations and external communications from a long and distinguished diplomatic career. Most recently, she was Vice Provost (international) of University College London where she travelled regularly, including to China, and prior to that, held senior positions in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the British government.
Tracey brings extensive experience in operations, sustainability and safety in global mining businesses. Most recently she served as Group Head of Sustainable Development at Anglo American Plc having previously held other senior executive roles at the company, at Vale S.A. and at BHP Pty Ltd.
Both Nicola and Tracey also have strong governance experience in listed companies within the industrial sector.

Biographies
Nicola served as Vice Provost (international) of University College London (2014-2020) and as Founding Director of the Diplomatic Academy at the UK FCO (2013-2014). Prior to that she served as British High Commissioner to South Africa (2009-2013). She was the first Chief Executive of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (2007-2009) and in her earlier career held a number of positions within the FCO. She graduated with a degree in English and has a Doctorate in Linguistics. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Spanish-listed energy company, Iberdrola SA, where she is a member of the Sustainable Development Committee. Previously, she has been a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Ethics & Corporate Responsibility Committee of Aggreko plc and a Non-Executive Director of Scottish Power Ltd.
Tracey served as Group Head of Sustainable Development at Anglo American Plc (2020-2021) having previously also been accountable for safety, operational risk management and sustainable development across the Anglo American group (2016-2020), and served as Group Head of Exploration (2011-2015). In her earlier career she held a variety of roles at Vale and BHP, having graduated with degrees in geophysics and economic geology. She currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at Hochschild Mining Plc, a precious metals mining company, and at metals processing company, Jubilee Metals Group Plc. She was previously a Non-Executive Director at Polymetal International Plc.
Board Committee Membership Changes
The Weir Group PLC also announces the following changes to the membership of its Committees, with effect from 21 July 2022.
Nicola Brewer, is appointed as a member of the Remuneration Committee;
Tracey Kerr, is appointed as a member of the Audit Committee;
