DIRECTORATE CHANGE

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.11, Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC (the "Company") announces that Belinda Richards, independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee, is to step down from the Board of the Company in order to take up a new role as an independent Non-Executive Director of Jupiter Fund Management PLC.

Belinda will leave the Board following the release of the Company's Interim Results on 10 September 2020.

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy Townsend as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect. From this date, Jeremy will also be appointed to the Audit, Corporate Compliance & Responsibility, Nomination and Remuneration Committees. Jeremy will be appointed as Chair of the Audit Committee with effect from 10 September 2020.

Jeremy is currently Chief Financial Officer of Rentokil Initial PLC, a role from which he is due to retire later this year. He was previously Group Finance Director of Mitchells & Butlers PLC and prior to that held various senior finance positions at J Sainsbury PLC. Jeremy started his career at Ernst & Young LLP and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).

Jeremy is also currently a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee at PZ Cussons PLC and a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at Galliford Try Holdings PLC.
