Henderson Group plc ('the Group') announces today that John Roques will retire as a Non-Executive Director of the Group on 31 December 2009.
Rupert Pennant-Rea, Chairman of the Group, said: "By the time Mr Roques stands down as a Director, he will be 71, and he feels this is the right time to leave. He has served on the Board for nearly six years, and for most of that time he has chaired the Group's Audit Committee as well as providing forthright and sound advice to the Board. I am sorry he is leaving, but I respect his reasons for doing so. I am pleased that Robert Jeens, a Non-Executive Director with extensive experience of financial services, will become Chairman of the Audit Committee."
