Savills PLC14 August 2007 14 August 2007 SAVILLS ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF GROUP FINANCE DIRECTOR Savills plc, the international property services company, is pleased to announcethe appointment of Mark Dearsley as Group Finance Director. He will join theBoard of Savills plc as an Executive Director with effect from 3 September 2007. Mr. Dearsley worked from 1998 to 2007 for Aviva, the international savings,investments and insurance group. He was Finance Director for Aviva Europe andInternational, the division which is responsible for Aviva's operations outsidethe UK. In this position, Mr. Dearsley was responsible for strategy, businessdevelopment, finance, risk and compliance for a division comprising over 20international businesses with operating profits of £1.9 billion. During histenure as Finance Director, he handled some notable transactions including theacquisition of Amer US for $3 billion in July 2006. Until late 2004, Mr.Dearsley was Aviva's Group Mergers & Acquisitions Director. Prior to working with Aviva, Mr. Dearsley held several roles at CharterhouseBank Limited, the investment bank, becoming a Board Director in 1996. Commenting on the appointment, Aubrey Adams, Group Chief Executive of Savillsplc said: "I am delighted that Mark has agreed to join Savills as Group Finance Directorand he will be a very welcome addition to our Board.
