Kier Group PLC15 September 2005 Kier Group plc Directorate Change The Board of Kier Group plc announces that Michael Paul Sheffield, deputymanaging director of Kier Regional, will be appointed as an executive directorof Kier Group plc with effect from 1 October 2005. Paul, aged 44, joined the Group as a graduate engineer 22 years ago. He hasworked in the UK and overseas and was appointed managing director of KierConstruction in 2001, chairman of Kier Construction in 2003 and joined the KierRegional board in 2004. Peter Warry, Chairman, said: "I am looking forward to working with Paul and am confident that he willcontribute significantly to the Board and to the future direction of the Group." No information in relation to Mr Sheffield is required to be disclosed pursuantto Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
