Herencia Resources PLC18 May 2007 18 May 2007 Herencia Resources plc ("Herencia" or the "Company") Appointment of New Director Completion of Geophysics Program at Paguanta Drilling Scheduled to Commence at Paguanta in late June Herencia today announces the appointment of William Robert (Bill) Adamson as adirector of the Company with immediate effect. Mr Adamson, aged 45, has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from the WesternAustralian School of Mines, a Master of Engineering Science from the Universityof Queensland and a Doctor of Philosophy (Blasting Engineering) from theUniversity of Queensland (JKMRC). Mr Adamson is currently General Manager atAustin Chile Trading Limited and Inversiones Austin Powder Chile Limited andSenior Technical Manager at Austin Powder Inc, companies who supply explosiveproducts and blasting technology to the mining sector. Mr Adamson has 16 years experience in the South American Resources Industry.He previously worked in Chile for the explosive company Dyno Nobel and theengineering firm Signet and has lived with his family in Santiago for 12 of thelast 16 years. He is a fluent Spanish speaker. Mr Adamson is not currently a director or partner of any company, but was apartner of ASP Blastronics SA until October 1997. Commenting on the appointment, Executive Director Michael Bohm stated "BillAdamson adds another layer to our already strong Chilean-based team. Havingworked in the resources sector in South America for over a decade Bill has anintimate knowledge of the sector, he understands the regulatory regimes andbrings with him an extensive contact base to Herencia". There is no further information to be disclosed under Schedule Two (g) of theAIM Rules. Herencia also advises that in relation to the Paguanta Project a ground EMprogram was recently completed. The results indicate the potential for anextension of known high grade mineralisation to the east of the area drilled inDecember 2006 and where surface samples returned high grade values of up to14.85% Zn and 1,515 g/t Ag as reported in February this year. The EM resultsare being used to assist in finalising collar locations for the upcoming drillprogram at Paguanta. Preparation of drill pads is now underway in readiness forthe planned commencement of drilling currently scheduled for late June.
