Ian will be appointedchairman of the group on 31st January 2008 at which time Nick Kuenssberg, thecurrent chairman, will step down from the board after 8 years' service. Ian Cleland Ritchie, 57, has an impressive background in technology enterprise.Currently Chairman of Computer Application Services Ltd, Caspian Learning Ltd,Connect Scotland, and Scapa Technologies Ltd he is also a past President of theBritish Computer Society. Ian was founding chairman of several technologycompanies, including Voxar Ltd (now part of Barco Ltd), a world leader invisualisation solutions for medical markets, Orbital Software Group plc (nowpart of Sopheon plc), Digital Bridges Ltd. (now part of Oberon Inc) and SonapticLtd (now part of Wolfson Microelectronics plc), the leading audio technologydevelopment company.
