LAMPRELL ANNOUNCES BOARD CHANGES

Lamprell (ticker: LAM), a leading provider of specialist engineering services to the international oil & gas industry, provides the following update. 

Board changes

Peter G Birch, Chairman of the Company, due to personal reasons has resigned from the Board of Lamprell plc.

Commenting on the announcement, Chief Executive Officer, Peter Whitbread, said: 

"It is with regret that Peter G Birch has decided, for personal reasons, to step down from the position as the Chairman and Director of the Company. We acknowledge the invaluable contribution made by Peter in guiding Lamprell and the Board as the Deputy Chairman and as the Chairman of the Company. Peter has been a Board Member of Lamprell since the time of the initial flotation and the Board wishes to express its appreciation of the efforts and support that Peter has given to the Company during his tenure on the Board. The current composition of the Board will be reviewed by the Nomination Committee with a view to appointing a new Chairman."

Lamprell, based in the UAE, has played an increasingly prominent role in the development of the offshore industry in the Arabian Gulf for over 30 years, in later years providing specialised services to the offshore oil and gas industry.
Lamprell's three primary facilities are in Port Khalid and the Hamriyah Free Zone, in the Emirate of Sharjah, and in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, in the Emirate of Dubai, all of which are in the UAE.
The principal markets in which Lamprell operates, and the principal services it provides, are:
Upgrade and refurbishment of offshore jackup rigs;
Engineering, procurement and construction of jackup rigs, liftboats and drilling related equipment;
New build construction for the offshore oil and gas sector, including Floating Production, Storage and Offloading systems and other offshore and onshore structures; and
Oilfield engineering services, including the upgrade, refurbishment and new building of land rigs.
