West Bromwich Building Society (The West Brom) announces John Maltby as Chair of the Board

The West Bromwich Building Society today announces that, following his regulatory approval, John Maltby has been elected by the Board as Chair. John assumes the role with immediate effect and Julie Hopes will consequently resume her role as Deputy Chair and Senior Independent Director.

Julie Hopes said:

"We are delighted that our external search resulted in John joining the Board as our Chair. He has a wealth of experience in the financial services sector and his expertise will be invaluable to the West Brom. "

John Maltby commented:
