Appointment of Group Finance Director

HMV Group plc ('HMV') today announces the appointment of David Wolffe as Group Finance Director, with effect from 10 January 2011.

David Wolffe joins HMV from ITV plc, where since 2008 he has been Finance Director of ITV Studios, the UK broadcaster's £600m-turnover content production and distribution business, and Interim Managing Director of ITV Global Entertainment. Previously, he has held senior finance and executive positions at leading global media and entertainment brands. These have included AOL Europe, where he was Chief Financial Officer, and BBC Worldwide, as Finance Director, Magazines and Consumer Publishing.

His professional and educational background includes Fellowship of CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting, an MBA from INSEAD, and MEng Manufacturing Engineering, Cambridge University.
