Coventry Building Society announces that it intends to appoint Iraj Amiri as a Non-Executive Director, subject to regulatory approval.

Iraj Amiri is a chartered accountant with extensive experience of senior management and board roles in internal audit, risk management and corporate governance. He enjoyed a long and successful career as a partner at Deloitte LLP, becoming Head of the Internal Audit Group and Enterprise Risk Management Group - also undertaking during this time a role as Global Head of Internal Audit with Schroders plc on a secondment basis.

He is currently a member of the Regulatory Decisions Committee at the Financial Conduct Authority, Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Development Bank of Wales plc, Chair of the Audit Committee of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and a Trustee of National Employment Savings Trust.

There are no matters requiring disclosure under UK Listing Rules 9.6.13 R (2) to 9.6.13 R (6).
