Appointment of Dr. Martin Read CBE as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman elect

Laird PLC announces today that Nigel Keen will be retiring as Chairman, to be succeeded by

Dr. Martin Read CBE at the Annual General Meeting in May 2014.

Laird is a global technology company focused on providing components and solutions that protect electronic devices from electromagnetic interference and heat, and that enable connectivity through wireless applications and antennae systems.

Martin Read will join Laird as a non-executive director with effect from 28 February 2014 and be appointed Chairman at the Annual General Meeting to be held on 2 May 2014. Martin is a non-executive director of Lloyds of London, the UK Government's Efficiency and Reform Board and is also the Chairman of the Remuneration Consultants Group. He was Chief Executive of international IT services company, Logica, from 1993 to 2007. Over the years, he has served as a non-executive director on the boards of Invensys PLC, Aegis Group, British Airways, Boots and Asda.
