UBC Media Group PLC18 February 2005 18th February 2005 Appointment of John Hodson as new Non-Executive Chairman UBC Media plc is delighted to announce that John Hodson has accepted an offer tojoin the Board of UBC Media, as Non-Executive Chairman. The appointment iseffective immediately. Mr Hodson, 58, worked with the Singer and Friedlander Group since 1970 where hewas a board member since 1987. In 1993 he was appointed Chief Executive of theGroup, a position he held until December 2004. Currently Non-Executive Director of Domino's Pizza UK & IRL plc and PrestburyGroup, Mr Hodson's past Non-Executive directorships were with SVB Holdings plc(formerly Syndicate Capital Trust) (1994 to 2000); Associated Nursing Servicesplc (1994 to 2002); Miller Fisher Group plc (formerly Fishers InternationalGroup plc) (1993 to 2004); D Carnegie Group AB and Intrinsic Value plc (1999 to2004). Mr Hodson succeeds Michael Peacock as Chairman. Mr Peacock, who is 75, isstanding down from the Chairmanship after 16 years of service, during which UBCMedia has become a public company, built up a strong portfolio of digital radioassets and become the UK's largest independent radio producer. Mr Peacock willresign from the Board after the Company's AGM in July.
