St. Modwen appoints Richard Mully as a non-executive Director

St. Modwen Properties PLC, the UK's leading regeneration specialist, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Mully as a non-executive Director with effect from 1st September 2013.

Richard (aged 51) has spent almost 30 years in investment banking, capital markets and real estate private equity investing. After an early career as an investment banker and real estate corporate financier, he co-founded Soros Real Estate Partners LLC in 2000 and was managing partner of this real estate investment business and its successor firm, Grove International Partners LLP, until his retirement in 2011.

His knowledge of the property sector has been further strengthened by his current appointments as Senior Independent Director of Hansteen Holdings PLC and as a member of the Supervisory Board of Alstria Office REIT-AG.

Richard is also a non-executive director of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC and ISG PLC.

Commenting on the appointment, Bill Shannon, Chairman of St. Modwen, said: "I am delighted that Richard will be joining the Board. His wealth of experience in real estate investment will complement the existing property expertise of the Board. Following a suitable induction process it is the Board's intention to appoint Richard as Senior Independent Director with effect from 1st December 2013."

Notes:

In compliance with LR 9.6.13R (1) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority, Richard was also a Director of Hypo Real Estate Holding AG (DAX listed) until 8th March 2009 and Spazio Investments NV (AIM listed) until 3rd December 2009. There is no further information that is required to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13R (2) to LR 9.6.13R (6) inclusive in respect of this appointment.
