Directorate Change

Meggitt PLC is pleased to announce that Sir Nigel Rudd will join the Board on 1 March 2015, initially as Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman. Sir Nigel will be appointed Non-Executive Chairman at the end of the Annual General Meeting in April 2015, following the previously announced retirement of Sir Colin Terry.

Sir Nigel Rudd is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of BBA Aviation plc and Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd, and is chairman designate of Aquarius Platinum Ltd (until his appointment as Chairman from the beginning of March 2015). He is also a Non-Executive Director of Sappi Limited and has been Chancellor of Loughborough University since 2010.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as the Chairman of Meggitt PLC and I am delighted to hand over to Sir Nigel, a highly experienced and successful director and chairman. With his prior role as a non-executive director of BAE Systems, and current exposure to the industry at BBA Aviation, Sir Nigel has exceptional knowledge of the aerospace sector. His experience across a wide range of businesses and expertise will be of significant benefit to the Group and make him ideally positioned to be the next Chairman of Meggitt PLC."
