Quintain Estates & Development PLC31 May 2005 31 May 2005 Quintain Estates and Development PLC ("Quintain" / the "Company") QUINTAIN APPOINTS TOM CROSS BROWN AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Board of Quintain has appointed Tom Cross Brown as a non-executive directorwith immediate effect. On joining the Board, Tom Cross Brown will serve as an independent member of theAudit, Donations, Nominations, Remuneration and Risk Committees. From 2000 to 2003, Tom Cross Brown (aged 57) was Global Chief Executive Officerof ABN AMRO Asset Management. Before that, between 1997 and 2000, he had beenChief Executive Officer of ABN AMRO Asset Management in the UK and Global Headof Business Development. Prior to joining ABN AMRO, Tom spent 21 years atLazard Brothers & Co. and was Chief Executive of Lazard Brothers AssetManagement Limited between 1994 and 1997. Tom Cross Brown is currently a non-executive director of Pearl Group Limited andArtemis Investment Management Limited and non-executive Chairman of ABN AMROGSTS Limited. He is a Member of the Advisory Council of the AIMR-Insead GlobalInvestors Workshop for Europe. Previously, he was a non-executive director forWhitegate Leisure (1987-1991) and Chairman of the Lazard Property Unit Trust(1994-1997).
