Retirement of Non-Executive Director

BG Group announces that Philippe Varin has today stepped down from the board after almost seven years as a Non-Executive Director.

BG Group Chairman Andrew Gould said: "I would like to express on behalf of BG Group's board our thanks and appreciation for Philippe's advice and support over the years. We have benefited greatly from his contributions."

Philippe, 60, was appointed a Non-Executive Director of BG Group in 2006 and was a member of the Audit and Remuneration committees.
