Johnson Matthey Plc Board Changes Johnson Matthey Plc announces that Michael Roney, a non-executive director,Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Management Development andRemuneration Committee, has decided to retire from the board in July 2014having served as a non-executive director for seven years. Michael was appointed a non-executive director in June 2007 and SeniorIndependent Director and Chairman of the Management Development andRemuneration Committee in July 2011. Commenting on Michael's decision to step down from the Board, Tim Stevenson,Chairman of Johnson Matthey, said: "Michael has been a strong and very effective non-executive director forJohnson Matthey over a sustained period. His deep commercial experience andpragmatic approach will be much missed by his colleagues on the board". Michael will retire from the board with effect from the close of the company'sAnnual General Meeting on 23rd July 2014. Alan Ferguson, a non-executivedirector and Chairman of the Audit Committee, will be appointed to the role ofSenior Independent Director. Dorothy Thompson, a non-executive director, willbe appointed as chair of the Management Development and Remuneration Committee.
