Hardide PLC26 June 2007 Press Release 26 June 2007 Hardide plc ("Hardide" or "the Company" or "the Group") Non-Executive Directorate Appointment Hardide plc (AIM:HDD), the provider of unique surface engineering technology, ispleased to announce the appointment of William Yale Zakroff as a Non-ExecutiveDirector of the Company with immediate effect. Mr Zakroff has worked as a senior level general management consultant in Houstonsince founding the Zakroff Group in 1984. He has worked at the highest levelsfor many well-known oil and gas companies and as an independent financial andstrategic advisor. Additionally, Mr Zakroff has provided international businessdevelopment and consulting assistance across major industrial sectors includingengineering and construction services, oil and gas equipment and services,environmental services, industrial machinery, power generation, specialitymaterials and water treatment. He has also acted as an investor, and/orprincipal on a number of venture capital transactions. Prior to this, Mr Zakroff joined the General Electric Company in 1978 aftercompleting an MBA with Distinction at Kellogg Graduate School of Management atNorthwestern University, and a BSc in Chemistry at the University of New Mexico. Mr Zakroff is also the founder and current CEO of Marinus Power LLC, a privateHouston-based company which develops and finances offshore renewable energyprojects and technologies. Private equity projects that he has previouslyundertaken include two rounds of start-up capital for Canyon Offshore and theMBO of OceanWorks International from Stolt Offshore.
