Appointment of Philip Burks as Non-Executive Director

Goals Soccer Centres plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Philip Burks as non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.

Mr. Burks co-founded Big Yellow Group plc in September 1998, served as property director until March 2007 and is currently a non-executive director. Prior to that he was joint CEO of Edge Properties plc, a business which he co-founded in 1989, was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1996 and then taken over by Grantchester Properties plc in 1998.

There are no other disclosures required by paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 to the AIM Rules.

Trading Update

Prior to the latest extraordinary snowfalls across the UK, Goals was trading in line with market expectations. Our core football business has remained resilient and ancillary spend has improved. The effect of the most recent snowfalls has led to a reduction in previously anticipated profit before tax of approximately £0.7m for the year ended 31 December 2010, which is within the range of the most recent market expectations.

The Company currently operates 38 centres across the UK and one in the USA, with a further four under construction at Sunderland, Liverpool South, Norwich, and Hull. Each of these is due to open on schedule except Liverpool South which has been delayed to early January 2011 due to the recent snowfall.

Change of Adviser Name

The Company has been advised that, with effect from Monday 13 December 2010, its Nominated Adviser and Broker became Peel Hunt LLP.
