C H Bailey Plc ("C H Bailey" or the "Company") announces that it has been notified today that Mr David Orchard, a director of the Company, has purchased 4,200 ordinary shares in C H Bailey at 65 pence per share.  These transactions were effected on 8 April 2009 on the London Stock Exchange.

Following this purchase, Mr Orchard is beneficially interested in 12,200 ordinary shares in the Company.
