European Goldfields Ltd16 December 2005 Immediate Release 16 December 2005 European Goldfields Limited (the "Company") Grant of Restricted Share Units The Company granted 65,000 restricted share units ("RSUs") to David Grannell(Director and CFO) under the Company's Restricted Share Unit Plan. The RSUs areredeemable for an equal number of common shares of the Company on 31 December2005. The RSUs were granted in recognition of milestones achieved during theyear, including obtaining environmental and mining permits for Stratoni, thecommencement of production at Stratoni, the signing of off-take agreements forconcentrates produced at Stratoni, the completion of an in-house pre-feasibilityat Certej and the listing of the Company's shares on the TSX.
