Murgitroyd Group PLC01 June 2005 For immediate release 1 June 2005 Murgitroyd Group PLC (the "Group") Director Shareholding The Board of Murgitroyd announces that it received notification today that DavidWJ Castle, a Director of the Group, acquired 15,000 ordinary shares in the Groupat a price of 182.0p per share on 31 May 2005. The shares were purchased in thejoint names of Mr Castle and his wife, Eileen Castle. The 15,000 shares (0.2%)purchased represent the entire interest of Mr Castle and connected parties inthe share capital of the Group. The ordinary shares referred to above are the ordinary shares of 10p per share.
