MITIE Group PLC28 July 2005 MITIE GROUP PLC ('MITIE' or 'the Company') Appointment of Director MITIE announces that it has today appointed Ishbel Jean Stewart Macpherson as aNon-Executive Director of the Company. Miss Macpherson, 45, was an investment banker for over 20 years, specialising inUK mid market corporate finance. Her most recent role was Head of UK andEmerging Companies Corporate Finance at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. Miss Macpherson holds no directorships in any other publicly quoted companiesand has not done so in the last 5 years. She has no interests in MITIE sharesand there are no further details required to be disclosed pursuant to ListingRule 9.6.13R in connection with Miss Macpherson's appointment.
