The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 21 December 2012 that Andy Halford is to be appointed to the Board of Marks and Spencer Group plc as a Non-Executive Director from 1 January 2013.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13(1) of the Listing Rules Andy Halford has confirmed that he is currently Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Group plc.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, he has advised that he has no details to disclose.
