Aviva plc non-executive director notification

Further to its announcement on 15 June 2011, Aviva plc (the "Company") announces that John McFarlane, chairman designate and one of its non-executive directors, will be stepping down as a non-executive director of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc with effect from 31 March 2012 as a regulatory condition of his impending appointment as chairman of the Company.
