Further to the announcement regarding the appointment of Mr Jean Laurent-Bellue as a non-executive director of RIT Capital Partners plc on 15 March 2012, the information below is provided as required under the UKLA Listing Rules and Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

1. Mr Laurent-Bellue is currently a director of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild S.A., which is publicly quoted on the SIX Swiss Exchange. There are no other current or past directorships of publicly quoted companies held by him in the past five years.

2. There are no details requiring disclosure under paragraphs 9.6.13 R (2) to (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules.

3. Mr Laurent-Bellue has no beneficial interest in the ordinary shares of the RIT Capital Partners plc.
