The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 23 August 2010 that Robert Swannell is to be appointed a non-executive director of Marks and Spencer Group plc on 4 October 2010, prior to being appointed Chairman on 4 January 2011.
In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules, Robert Swannell has advised that he is currently a director of the British Land Company plc, 3i Group plc and HMV Group plc.
In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, he has advised that he has no details to disclose.
