In compliance with rule LR 9.6.14 of the Financial Services Authority Listing Rules, Imperial Tobacco Group PLC announces that its Non-executive Director Susan Murray, has today informed the Company that she will stand for election to the Board of Directors of Pernod Ricard SA, one of world's leaders in wines and spirits, at its Annual General Meeting due to be held on 10 November 2010.

There have been no other changes to the information set out in LR 9.6.13R (2) to LR 9.6.13R (6) in respect of Ms Murray.
