Hays plc Director Declaration

Notification in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14R

Hays plc announces in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14R that Lesley Knox, a non-executive director of Hays plc, was appointed a non-executive director of SABMiller plc on 19 May 2011. This year Lesley will have served nine years as a non-executive director of Hays plc and therefore she will be stepping down from the Hays Board later in the year. The Board would like to thank Lesley for her considerable contribution to Hays over the years and offers Lesley its warmest congratulations on her appointment to the Board of SABMiller. As part of our succession process we had, earlier in the year, commenced a search for an additional independent non-executive director to join the Board of Hays and will announce the outcome of this in due course.
