The Company announces that Stephen Pearce, the Company's Finance Director, was appointed as a non-executive director of Anglo American Platinum Limited on 1 January 2018.

Mr Pearce is also a non-executive director of Kumba Iron Ore Limited. Anglo American Platinum and Kumba Iron Ore are members of the Anglo American plc Group and are both listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

This notification satisfies the Company's obligations under Listing Rule 9.6.14 (2).
