DIRECTOR DECLARATION

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14, Antofagasta plc (the "Company") announces that Tim Baker, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, has been appointed as a director of Alio Gold Inc. ("Alio Gold") with effect from 25 May 2018. This appointment follows Alio Gold's acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Rye Patch Gold Corporation. As previously announced, Mr Baker was a director of Rye Patch Gold Corporation before it was acquired by Alio Gold Inc.
