Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') wishes to notify that Ray Greenshields, a non-executive director of the Company, is also a non-executive director and Chairman of Octopus VCT 3 plc, having been appointed to the board of that company on 31 August 2011.

This announcement is made pursuant to the Company's obligations under Listing Rule 9.6.14R (2) and following the admission to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange today, 19 March 2012, of Octopus VCT 3 plc.
