The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 10 April 2015 that Richard Solomons has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Marks and Spencer Group plc from 13 April 2015

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13(1) of the Listing Rules Richard has confirmed that he is currently Chief Executive Officer of InterContinental Hotels Group.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, he has advised that he has no details to disclose.
