FirstGroup plc announces that Martin James Gilbert, Director and Chairman of FirstGroup plc, was appointed to the position of non-executive director of Aberdeen Latin American Income Fund Limited ("ALAIFL") on 30 June 2010 and on 16 August 2010 the ordinary shares of ALAIFL were admitted to the Official List and trading in those shares commenced on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market.

This disclosure is made pursuant to paragraph 9.6.14R of the Financial Services Authority's Listing Rules.
