The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 8 July 2011 that Manvinder (Vindi) Banga is to be appointed a Non-Executive Director of Marks and Spencer Group plc on 1 September 2011.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules, Vindi Banga has advised that he is currently a non-executive director of Thomson Reuters and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, he has advised that he has no details to disclose.
