Amerisur Resources Plc, the oil and gas producer and explorer focused on South America, announces that Giles Clarke, Chairman, has transferred 660,000 shares to a family member as a gift for personal reasons.

The transfer took place yesterday at a price of 50.0 pence per share and the Company was also notified yesterday.

Following the transfer, Giles Clarke retains 16,556,776 shares, or 1.57% of the equity of Amerisur.

Giles Clarke, Chairman, commented:

"I have transferred these shares for personal reasons. I have no current plans to transfer or sell any additional shares and remain a firm holder of my remaining 1.57% stake in Amerisur."
