Director dealings

Matra Petroleum plc announces that it was notified yesterday that on 21 May 2012 Maxim Barskiy sold 700,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 2.65 pence per share. Following this transaction, Mr Barskiy's holding was 574,300,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 29.76 per cent of the then issued share capital of the Company.

The Company was notified today that Maxim Barskiy has today acquired 700,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 1.68 pence per share. Following this transaction, Mr Barskiy's holding has risen back up to 575,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 29.70 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company.
