Firestone Diamonds plc, the AIM-quoted diamond development company, announces that it was notified on 22 September 2016, that Lucio Genovese, Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, has purchased 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at 44.5 pence per share Ordinary Share on 22 September 2016.
As a result of the purchase, Mr Genovese is now interested in 2,846,944 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 0.91 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

Background information on Firestone
Firestone is an international diamond development company with operations focused on Lesotho. Firestone is currently in the process of developing the Liqhobong Mine Development Project in Lesotho to become a one million carat per annum producer.
