Director Announcement

Bowleven, the Africa focused oil and gas exploration group traded on AIM, announces that Phil Tracy will resume his role as Non Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2013. With the process of appointing a new Operations Director nearing conclusion, Phil will relinquish this position, a role he assumed on an interim basis in July 2011. 

A formal announcement on the new appointment will be made in due course.

Ronnie Hanna, Bowleven's Chairman, said

"I would like to thank Phil for his significant contribution to the Group as Interim Operations Director. Considerable progress has been made during this period with the IM-5 well now successfully suspended as a development/producing well and the associated update to the EEAA well underway. We will continue to benefit from Phil's extensive operations and development experience in his role as Non Executive Director and look forward to making an announcement on the Operations Director appointment once the recruitment process is complete."
