Capital & Regional plc17 March 2008 17 March 2008 CAPITAL & REGIONAL PLC: ACQUISITION OF SHARES BY CHIEF EXECUTIVE DESIGNATE Capital & Regional plc, the co-investing property asset manager, today announcesthat Hugh Scott-Barrett, who, as previously announced, has been appointed ChiefExecutive of the Company with effect from 1 April, acquired a total of 150,000shares on 11 March 2008 at an average price of 545p. 115,000 shares were purchased for his personal account at a price of 545p and35,000 shares were purchased for his SIPP account at a price of 546p. Under the terms of a Matching Share Agreement entered into with the Capital &Regional plc Employee Share Ownership Trust 2002 on 9 March 2008, he will becomeentitled, once he takes up his position on 1 April, to up to a further 450,000shares, subject to vesting conditions as to time, relative and absoluteperformance over the next three years.
