Dental Imaging Contracts

e2v technologies PLC07 November 2007 7 November 2007 e2v technologies PLC e2v secures dental imaging contracts worth £13.7m e2v technologies, the specialist developer and manufacturer of high technologycomponents and sub-systems, is pleased to announce that it has signed orderswith three existing key dental imaging customers, worth a total of £13.7m. Orders from the first customer, worth a total of €10m (£7m), are for extra-oralpanoramic x-ray sensitive Charge Coupled Devices (CCDs). Deliveries will becompleted over a two year period. Orders placed by the second customer, worth a total of US$8.8m (£4.3m), are forintra-oral x-ray sensitive CCDs. Deliveries are scheduled to start in December2007 and to be completed in 12 months. The third customer has placed an order worth €3.5m (£2.4m), for the supply ofintra-oral x-ray sensitive CCDs and with delivery over the coming 14 months. e2v's x-ray sensitive CCDs are incorporated into digital dental imaging systems.Intra-oral systems capture x-ray images of individual, or small groups of teethwhilst extra-oral panoramic systems capture images of the whole mouth in asingle sweep. These systems offer high performance image capture, instantlyviewable on a PC monitor, from significantly lower radiation doses than film.
