Aviva PLC08 February 2007 News release 8 February 2007 DELTA LLOYD PLANS TO ACQUIRE ERASMUS GROEP B.V. Aviva plc ("Aviva") announces that its Dutch business, Delta Lloyd Group ("DeltaLloyd"), has today announced that it plans to acquire Erasmus Groep B.V. ("Erasmus"), based in Rotterdam, from Wustenrot & Wurttembergische AG, based inStuttgart, Germany. The acquisition of Erasmus is in line with Delta Lloyd's ambition to furtherstrengthen its position in the Dutch insurance market. Erasmus' expertise ingeneral insurance fits well with the activities of Delta Lloyd General, and thelife activities form an excellent addition to the portfolio of Delta Lloyd LifeInsurance, thus reinforcing Delta Lloyd's intermediary activities. Erasmus had gross assets of €983 million and net assets of €44 million as at 31December 2005. Erasmus gross premium income was €228 million for the year ended31 December 2005, with general insurance accounting for approximately 55% andlife for 45%.
