Delivery of Eskom order

Energetix Group plc05 December 2007 Press Release 5 December 2007 Energetix Group plc ("Energetix" or "the Group") Energetix subsidiary, Pnu Power, delivers and installs first order to South African utility Energetix Group plc (AIM: EGX), a leading developer of new and sustainablealternative energy products, is pleased to announce that its backup powersubsidiary, Energetix Pnu Power Ltd, has successfully supplied and commissionedits first compressed air backup power unit to South African electricity utilityEskom Holdings Limited (Eskom), one of the top ten largest electricity producersin the world. The Pnu Power TC1 (TC1) compressed-air UPS (uninterruptible power supply) devicewill be deployed to a live substation and will provide over 10 hours of standbypower for relay-switching. The TC1 unit will be tested over the next few monthsunder the control of Eskom's DC Systems division with the assistance of theElectronic and Electrical Engineering Department of Stellenbosch University. Secure power is critical in many applications, including relay-switching andtelecommunications, and alternative backup power solutions such as the TC1 unitare ideally positioned to fulfil this need. Energetix Pnu Power recentlyexhibited its compressed air power TC1 unit at the Intelec conference in Rome.Demonstrations of the technology were given to major telecoms operators (e.g.Telecom Italia, Vodafone), telecoms systems companies (e.g. Nokia, Emerson), andseveral other leading players in the growing market of standby power for basetransceiver stations (BST). In the next stage of the commercialisation process,Energetix Pnu Power will field-test units with major operators and systemssuppliers.
